Role

I co-founded Triables to make second-hand shopping more trustworthy and convenient. From validating the idea to designing the MVP, I led the product and design efforts.
The project

I built Triables to make second-hand shopping feel safe, simple, and local.

It started with a frustration: buying used stuff online felt risky. You either committed too soon, or missed out while hesitating. What if you could try something before buying: like you do in a store?

That was the spark. I teamed up with two friends and led design from zero to MVP.
Research
Before diving into design, we needed to validate the concept.

• Interviewed early users and ran surveys
• The biggest blocker? Trust
• The biggest unlock? A trial period

People loved the idea of testing before committing. We knew we were onto something.
What we found in the market
We analyzed existing platforms and noticed common issues:

• Overwhelming interfaces with too much clutter.
• Complex processes without clear guidance.
• Lack of support when users needed help.

Triables had to feel different: local, friendly, and built on trust.
Designing the experience
I focused on building a product that felt light, clean, and reassuring.

• Designed end-to-end user journeys for both buyers and sellers
• Created a modular design system with flexible components
• Built clear flows around trying, offering, and returning
No bloated UI. No hidden steps. Just clarity.
 How it works

Buyers could search, request a 48-hour trial, and return or purchase

Sellers could list, chat, and track trial requests through a simple dashboard

The result
We launched a fully functional MVP with a complete trial-based transaction flow.
It made second-hand shopping feel closer to in-person buying: safe, flexible, and human.
