At Common Ventures, I took on the full creative stack: art director, designer, set builder. I even turned part of the office into a mini workshop to bring these handcrafted sets to life.
The Project
CHOICE is Australia’s leading consumer rights and advocacy group. Independent and member-funded, they give Australians unbiased, scientifically-backed product reviews on whitegoods, travel insurance, health cover and almost everything in between. Unfortunately, most Australians are oblivious to CHOICE with many relying on fake online reviews, blogs or misleading advertisements to get the product information.
The Idea
‘Keeping Products Honest’
We created Keeping Products Honest. A platform that brought to life the products and services of CHOICE to convey the benefits of a subscription. Through a collection of miniatures and tiny sets, and one incredible VO artist, we created content that spoke to their strict scientific testing and honesty in a way which was also entertaining.

To cut through with retargeting, we created products with ludicrous claims, to drive consumers to learn more about how CHOICE helps you identify shonky products.

The outcome
This project was an absolute blast. I got to flex some serious creative muscles, designing and building miniature sets to help showcase CHOICE's offering. I ended up crafting a whole little workshop in the office, learning how to make miniatures on the fly. It pushed me to experiment, improvise, and figure out how to tell a big story on a small scale.
