Triables is a community-focused marketplace that brings the "fitting room" experience to second-hand shopping by letting you try items for 48 hours before you commit to buying.
My role was a bit of everything, leading the product vision and handling the design from the very first sketch to a living, breathing MVP.

The challenge
Buying used gear online usually comes with a side of anxiety. You’re either forced to commit to an item based on two blurry photos, or you hesitate for too long and someone else snaps it up. We kept asking ourselves: Why can’t buying second-hand feel as easy as shopping at a local store, where you can actually touch the product before handing over your money?

The process
We didn't want to build features just for the sake of it, so we started by listening.
The Validation: We interviewed early users and ran surveys to see what was actually stopping them from buying more used goods. The answer was always trust.
The Market Gap: Looking at other platforms, we saw a lot of clutter and confusing "hidden" steps. We decided Triables needed to be the opposite: light, clean, and friendly.
Building the Flow: I designed the user journeys with a "no surprises" philosophy. I built a modular design system so we could move fast, focusing on the core moments: requesting a 48-hour trial, chatting with sellers, and making the final hand-off.

The impact
We successfully launched a fully functional MVP that actually worked. It turned the traditional marketplace model on its head by making the "trial period" the heart of the experience. By allowing buyers to test items for 48 hours, we replaced the usual online shopping stress with a process that felt safe and flexible.
